Baja makes use of a unique laminating technique that they call SCRIMP. Because of that, their boats are able to go at a full speed leaving the other boats literally in the dust. But what is SCRIMP? It is really a resin infusion that is uniquely light yet strong and safe for the environment.
There are three kinds of testing that Baja boats are put through before they are considered worthy of being sold. The first test is called the FTTP or the First Time Through Put. This process involves making sure that each and every part of the boat is in good working condition.
From the propulsion system to the electrical system, the Baja boat team scrutinizes the problems in these systems and identifies areas that need improvement. They continue testing the systems until every single aspect of the boat works perfectly. It is called the First Time Through Put because their real goal is to make everything work perfectly during the first testing.
The next test that the ski boats have to go through is the Toll Gating test. Here, the Baja team makes sure that the boats pass through a rigid set of standards before the boat can make it past the toll gate. If it fails, then it does not go through. Their aim is to make sure that the boats live up to their standards of stability, durability, handling and total speed.
The last test is the water testing. Just as with the First Time Through Put, the team makes sure each and every function and system of the Baja Boat will work on the water. Now, you can have the peace of mind you need on the water, knowing that this boat was tested rigorously before it was actually sold to you.
Baja boats come in three categories: the Baja Outlaw, the Baja Performance and the Baja Islander series.
The Baja Outlaw series motto is “You don't follow the rules. With an Outlaw, you make your own”. And true to its motto, the Baja Outlaw is one of the fiercest looking ski boats you will see on the water. They are also very fast.
The Baja Performance series is all about hand-made construction, giving it the panache and sophistication in its appearance. It is also a real “performer” on the water, as it can conquer harsh water conditions as well. Truly a luxurious boat for the sophisticates out there.
The Baja Islander series meanwhile, features spacious and comfortable seating for family, friends, and everything else that you want to bring along on your boating trip, such as supplies, water sport equipment and the like.
