Stingray Boats was founded in 1979 by Al Fink in Hartsville, South Carolina. Fink’s goal was to make the most superior powerboats and successfully reached and even surpassed his goal. He started out with just two molds and a few people trained in the art of boat making. Stingray Boats has now over twenty models and a high technology manufacturing plant that covers more than two hundred and twenty-five thousand square feet.
Stingray Boats also understands that there are two major reasons why people by boats: to ski and to fish. And although these two activities are very different from each other, Stingray Boats was able to create a boat that would cater to these two activities. The Stingray FX Fish & Ski is a versatile boat that comes with features that will enable you to customize the boat to the specific activity or water sport you want to use it for. This is a really innovative characteristic of the FX Fish & Ski, as you can install a special center insert if you want to use this boat for fishing. Here, two pedestal fishing seats can be installed by simply removing the rear sun pad.
As a fishing boat, the FX Fish & Ski also has tools that will help you with angling. It features an aft bench that is sectionalized, a large live well with an aerator, so that you have a place to store your fish and the bait as well. The cockpit has a two-drawer tackle box installed in it, so that you can store your lures and fishing accessories in an organized manner. You also have the option of installing a digital depth finder and a compass.
If you prefer the adventure that one gets from water skiing or wake boarding, all you have to do is remove the said fishing seats and re-install the sun pad. The bucket seats also swivel so that you can face backwards, checking out your friends while they are skiing. The FX Fish & Ski also has an integrated swim platform and aft sunpad for a convenient holder for the board or ski. A recessed swim ladder with a steel handrail is also installed so that you can get in and out of the water conveniently. The FX Ski & Fish also has a hinged ski storage locker and a stainless steel ski-tow ring.
The cockpit features an all-weather marine carpet, backlit gauges and switches with circuit breakers, and integrated electric horn, deluxe throttle and trim control, oversized cup holders, a remote oil change system, an easy access fuel pump and filter, an easy access water pump, a fresh water flushing attachment, a full up drive trim, clone clutch shifting technology and a high flow exhaust.
The Stingray FX Fish & Ski comes with a five year hull protection plan and a three year hull blister protection plan. All boats are NMNA, USCG, IMCI and EC certified. Apart from their superior construction and performance, all Stingray boats are environmentally friendly as well.
Stingray uses low styrene laminating resins and gel coats combined with low pressure-high temperature spray equipment. Thus, Stingray was able to reduce its stack emissions by at least thirty percent for each boat.
Stingray boats also have a fuel vent surge protector to prevent leaking of fuel tanks. Now you do not have to worry about contaminating the lake or river with oil spills. This is just one of the many reasons why Stingray is the superior choice for a ski boat.
